Our Mission

The mission of the New England-Canada Business Council (NECBC) is to advance business, political, and cultural relationships between Canada and the United States and to help members grow their cross-border professional networks. Founded in 1981, the NECBC is one of the leading non-profit organizations working to sustain and expand the strong and mutually valuable connections between New England and Canada.

President’s Welcome

My name is John Gulliver, and your Board recently elected me as President of NECBC. I am honored and excited by this and also am aware of what big shoes I have to fill, after the terrific Presidency of Peter Howe, who wrapped up his term on June 30, 2023. Peter and his predecessors have been instrumental in setting NECBC forward on a path of both programmatic and financial stability and success. My goal is to continue our progress. In this regard, I welcome your inputs on our programs and events, ideas on how to expand our Membership base, and ways to increase our diversity and reach by every dimension, to further reflect the communities in Canada and the US whom we serve.
