The NECBC posts on this page news story excerpts related to member activities and U.S./Canada relations.  Be sure to check back for updates.

The NECBC Frederick J. Nemergut Scholarship Fund was established in 2018 at Bridgewater State University to recognize and memorialize the contributions of Fred Nemergut to the NECBC and the region.  The total donated to the fund is over $100,000. We are grateful to all the supporters! The earnings from the Fund are used to benefit one or more undergraduate students with financial need, with a preference for students studying international business relations, economics, or Canadian studies.

The 2020 winner of the NECBC Frederick J. Nemergut Scholarship at Bridgewater State University this past spring was Ms. Madylin Perry, a Junior from Tewksbury, MA who is majoring in Political Science (concentration in International Affairs) and pursuing a Minor in Canadian Studies. Bridgewater states: “Once again, the number of applicants was impressively high, and Ms. Perry stood out among them as a particularly deserving recipient.” Congratulations!
