On April 28, 2020, the NECBC was pleased to convene a webinar with the Canadian law firm of Fasken that focused on U.S.-Canada Cross-Border business during the COVID-19 crisis. The speakers included Canadian Consul General, David Alward (shown in photo above); Clifford Sosnow, Co-Chair of Fasken's International Trade and Investment Group, who addressed the effect of COVID-19 on cross-border trade issues including the closing of the border for all non-essential commerce; and Claude Jodoin, a preeminent tax attorney with Fasken, who provided insight into federal and provincial programs that have been initiated by the respective governments to assist businesses and individuals during this incredibly difficult time. The event was moderated by Jon Sorenson, President of the NECBC. It was a timely and informative event. Thanks to all!
